Brothers & Sisters,
Christ is RISEN!
Next Thursday is the Holy and Glorious Ascension of our Lord, God, and Savior Jesus Christ! Saint Nicodemus of the Holy Mountain comments on this feast – “the ultimate purpose of the divine economy was to raise us up to heaven. For our real salvation is there, and there we will rejoice in the most sweet contemplation of our most beloved Master.” This Ascension is the exclamation mark to Christs’ Incarnation, his Death, and his Resurrection as he has taken on our human nature and seated it at the right hand of GOD! JOIN US to celebrate the Vigil for the feast with our brothers at Saint Seraphim of Sarov Russian Orthodox Church (872 N 29th St, Boise) @ 6:00 PM on Wednesday, June 9th THEN come to the Divine Liturgy at 6:00 AM on Thursday, June 10th at our Parish!

Other Happenings:
General Parish Book Study: “The Religion of the Apostles: Orthodox Christianity in the First Century” by Fr Stephen De Young – Beginning, Wednesday, July 7th after the Daily Service Father Mark will lead a study of this very interesting book. “Rev. Dr. Stephen De Young, creator of the popular The Whole Counsel of God blog and podcast, traces the lineage of Orthodox Christianity back to the faith and witness of the apostles, which was rooted in a first-century Jewish worldview. The Religion of the Apostles presents the Orthodox Christian Church of today as a continuation of the religious life of the apostles, which in turn was a continuation of the life of the people of God since the beginning of creation.” The book is available in print from the Ancient Faith Store or in Kindle format from Amazon!
Invitation from Khouria Michelle for the Women of the Parish– “Coffee with Khouria: where you can Laugh a latte” – Saturdays from 8:00 AM to 8:45 AM on ZOOM.
